Clare Bond is an Australian artist and designer who lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her work in both disciplines represents her long fascination with bodily experience, and how this informs and reflects culture and the self. Her work has been exhibited internationally in both the USA and Australia, and is represented in both private and public collections. She achieved a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Tasmania with First Class Honours (1996), a Bachelor of Art Education from the University of New South Wales (2004) and a PhD in Art from the University of Sydney (2011).

After moving to the US from Australia in 2011 she focused on her creative design practice, driving innovative research and development projects for companies such as Apple, Cigna, and Samsung. Most recently she led an AR/VR product design team for Reality Labs at Meta. Her work was included in a major survey show at the Powerhouse Museum (Sydney, Australia) in 2012. She has received awards for both her art and design work, including winning the Alex Mackay acquisitive award in 2010 and was a finalist in the Women in Technology Innovator of the Year award in 2019.

In 2025 she returned to her art practice full time. Her focus for the next year is on extending her current body of work, titled ‘Entanglement’ which features sculpture and installation works that explore the relationship between human bodies and the wild.
